D-III Offers?

Postby Go Green » Wed Jun 22, 2016 10:09 pm

A Harvard fan is making a BFD about the fact that an incoming Harvard recruit was offered by a D-IIII school.

Others (myself included) think that a D-IIII offer is evidence that the recruit is marginal Ivy talent.

Thoughts?

Considering football recruits good enough to get in the door of the Ivies are good enough to get into pretty much every football-playing school on the planet, a D-III offer isn't a BFD. Not to say the kid can't be great, but I'd be a lot more impressed if he was offered a PWO at a big state school.

The only one making a BFD is go green, who thinks a player who get interest from a d3 school is obviously mediocre, even if recruited by Harvard yale and other d1 schools. A bizzare theory, imho.
